Call for Proposals

C2L encourages teachers, preservice teachers, faculty, librarians, administrators, and educational consultants to submit proposals for online sessions.

C2L invites session proposals related to educational technology such as apps used in the classroom, e-learning, online learning communities, social media, blogging, and mobile learning.  Any proposal related to how technology is enhancing the classroom environment (for both teachers and students) will be considered.  Proposals can have practical application of technology for educators, and this practical application can include technology to use with students or technology teachers can use to enhance their teaching or make it more efficient.  Or proposals can discuss research related to using technology in the K-12 classroom.

Feel free to include any handouts/documents you would like to include for download with your presentation.  Video presentations can include (but are not limited to) video of demonstrations, screen recording, Google+ Hangout discussions, etc… If creating a video on a mobile device, create in landscape mode instead of portrait.  If submitting a video already online (YouTube, etc...), just provide the link to the video when submitting proposal.

Resources for Creating Your Proposal

If you are wanting to do screen recording, check out these videos discussing free screen recording utilities for both Mac and PC.  There are many options for screen recording, but hopefully, these videos will get you started in finding the best (free) tool for your presentation.
One very simply way to do a screen recording on a Mac is with Quicktime.  Click HERE for directions.
Create a video presentation using animated whiteboard drawing.
Sharing Prezi presentations is another option.  See the following video explaining how to share your Prezi.
Below are some applications that can easily be used to create short videos for an Inspire Session or projects for the Poster Session.  These are just a few suggestions, but many other applications can be used successfully.
Interactive whiteboard
Tellagami (short videos)
PathBrite (Interactive Portfolio)
