How to Use EdPuzzle Effectively with Your Students |
Abstract: Slack.com is an interactive whiteboard that students and teachers alike can use to connect with one another. Slack.com provides teachers with an easy and accessible “workplace” where all the students can connect with one another. Teacher can also use Slack.com to post assignment, give feedback, and return grades. Students can collaborate with one another on group projects or for advice in general. Slack.com also provides teachers with an outlet to communicate with other teachers. Teachers can reach out to other teachers within their own school campus, district, or anywhere in the country. All the teacher needs is an email address. I believe Slack.com can be very beneficial to all teachers because they are able to connect with various outside sources, and they can create multiple “workplaces” for their classrooms, connecting all of their student in one, easily accessible place.

Using ClassDojo
Abstract: I believe that ClassDojo will enhance every classroom. ClassDojo is a simple way to build the classroom community by creating a positive culture, giving the students a voice, and sharing moments with parents. If the students see their parents engaged in this app as much as the students are, it would promote a positive classroom environment. This allows the teachers, students, and parents to all be actively participating in the classroom.

Biteable in the ClassroomAbstract: My proposal is to use the website Biteable in classrooms in order to provide a fun and interactive way to present book summaries. By using this website in this manner, students are able to easily create videos to present their information through. This website is prefect for this because each slide has a word limit, making the student really think about only the main points of a story. There are a lot of different templates and scene options to choose from making this very simple to engage students.

SkitchAbstract: This presentation is about an app called Skitch. Skitch can help in the classroom with students who struggle with reading comprehension. The app allows the students to take pictures of the illustrations in the book, and draw on them without messing up the book. The student can use this app while reading to ask questions that they may be thinking, and make educated guesses about what will happen next. This app will also allow teacher and student interaction because you can send your photo with questions on it to different apps, or if you are doing whole group you can airdrop to the entire class.
